I love this typeface. it has a really interesting illustrative twist to it, which works really well. the colour choices in each letter are also really nice, sticking to a limited colour palette but using a different colour palette for different letters. this could be a helpful reference of colours if i decide to create a set of packaging design of the same type of sweets but different flavours.

Ill studio

“The ill-studio is a French group of collaborators devoted to fine arts. Our goal is to bring ten individuals together, working in various artistic areas such as graphic design, photography, typography, illustration, video, motion design, etc.”

love this typeface, good inspiration for some hand drawn decorative type.
I really like these type designs, the layout is really interesting, its almost created an illustration. This is an interesting approach to laying out type. i would have liked to have brief this style for the book cover brief. i may need to make a third design to see if this works better.

although this is quite a complicated layout, I think its really successful because it is still legible. the 'les' is written on a slope which helps guide the eye downwards so it helps you read it. the designer has even managed to change point sizes which again doesn't distract from the initial design.

I love thes typefaces, the top one is really fun and firty. The second is quite similar to the first but has a more subtle decorative style to it, created clean crisp shapes out of the letters. The third one has a patterned aztec approach to it which works really well and gives it character. Good inspiration for a hand drawn type design.
