Rob ryans style of working is really lovely, he mainly focusses on screen prints and paper cuts. Therefore all of the imagery is attached, as one.
The illustrations used in his work is really simple, focussing on silhouettes, there is no detail included in the people/characters. the detail is focussed on the surrounding tree imagery. this could be an idea used in the adult book prize brief since the story is focussed on a little town in the jungle. Showing solitude with a small lonely house/ village surrounded by trees/leaves etc.
This is one of my favourite pieces, it looks like it is showing a journey within the rose, the rose is telling a story. ll.
