potential short logo design brief

i found this brief online and thought it would be good as a short brief, It focusses on logo design but needs to have an illustrative approach to it. Recreating the lion image

WHAT IT IS

In 1968, Anne Klein's first collection was launched.

In the forty-two years that followed, women embraced and embodied the courage, self-expression and ambition that Anne Klein's iconic lion symbol came to represent. Women became more empowered and reached mounds of success in the workforce that were only a dream when Anne started.

So our question to you is…
How do you see the lion evolving from what it represented in 1968 to what it means in 2011? What do you see creatively when you think of a lion? Anne Klein wants to see what your re-imagination of their iconic lion would be.

WHO IT'S FORArtists, Illustrators and Photographers
WHO IT'S FROM

Anne Klein was one of the founders of modern American Sportswear. At a time when women were entering the workforce with tremendous speed, Anne’s mission was to celebrate this new found empowerment by creating sportswear separates that were just as fashionable as they were functional.

Among her many accomplishments she was awarded the Coty Fashion Critics Award in 1955 and 1969 before being inducted into their hall of fame in 1971.

Anne also had the distinguished honor of being one of the five American designers chosen to show at Versailles in 1973. It’s also worth mentioning that she was the only woman. How’s that for girl power!

My Design needs to work across a range of things, and needs to have a retail style appeal to it. therefore the logo has to work on a variety of different scales and needs enough detail in it to make it a aesthetically pleasing illustration, but not too much detail so you can't see it when its placed on a smaller scale.
